Camping was a blast!

Family and great company, what more can ya ask for?

Lord V, Lady C and Maddie joined my family for a weekend of fun and black powder shooting. Mwhahahaha

Lord V even made a video of Khornesone shooting a black powder rifle for the first time.

I have enjoyed sharing my families traditions with Khornesone, Lord V, Lady C and Maddie.

Campfires, stew pot, ghost stories around the fire.

Lady C has forever changed smores for our household, and a few other camp families.

Lord V took magnificent pictures!

Wolfbite brought her friend Raven with us and they had a good time. (Until Khornesone forbid them from charging their cell phones for the 4th time by sat evening.)

Iae had a great time as well showing off his prowess on the hawk and knife trail. And I think there where a few girls that noticed him at his 5'5" height... am going to keep a close eye on that one.. yeah.

Picked up 6 white rabbit furs to make a couple new hats with. Have a few more items I need to get before I can start construction on them.

Have a ton of beading projects I need to get started on, to include the arm and chest pieces for my fathers buck skin shirt he got for an early birthday present. Oh how I want to make Khornesone one.. sighs..

Found a great pattern for hat bands for future hats, not the rabbit fur ones, and some turtle beading patterns for Dads stuff. Go turtles!!

I keep trying to hid my camp coat from Khornesone so he wont wash it.. so that the lingering smell of camp fire remains.

It was great to show him my fathers Tipi and camp set up. The places that I camped growing up as a teenager. The things that I learned early in life, my heritage.

He did great on the shoot as well, he kept up with my brother Chris and only fell one point behind on the tie breaker. Ended up scoring 200 points over all on the aggregate score. My father did 235, my brother James (Brancher) did 230. Chris had something like 220.

But the highlight of the camping trip was the naming ceremony for my father. Yes I said naming ceremony..

After 20 plus years of Black Powder rendezvous and stuff my father has finally earned a name and I gave it to him.

See he would take his long cooking fork for the camp fire and dig around in the dirt under the fire. He was looking for the rocks and would pull them out and move them up to the side of the fire ring making it bigger. I said to him at last years camp out, "Daddy what are you doing?" He said "Making the fire pit deeper." I just looked at him funny. If I had known I could I would have given him the name then but I didn't find out until later so it had to wait.

So for a year he has had to wait patiently for his name and finally his wait ended.

So I told the story at the ceremony and clapped him on the back and announced proudly.. There you have it folks, the story of Rock Stacker.

Fitting that I gave my father a camp name, after all he contributed to mine... Silverbow... We are even now dad. ;P

Well, we thank you for including us. We are considering continuing to go to the campouts, if we are allowed. Thank you for sharing with us, your heritage.

So, why don't you do another journal entry on how you got YOUR name?
